Behind every La Poterie de Taizé product are people who share the belief that things of value require time, dedication, and mindfulness.

Whether in the workshop in Taizé, the warehouse in Salzburg, or our store in Vienna: we work on a small scale for something greater. And we do so as a small but closely connected team.

Charlotte Riedl-Würfel

Charlotte Riedl-Würfel founded La Poterie de Taizé in 2021, inspired by a deep connection to Taizé and the idea of supporting the Community during the COVID-19 crisis through a fundraising campaign.

What began as a temporary project became a lasting bridge between the monastic craftsmanship of Taizé and people who want to experience its beauty and meaning beyond Taizé.

Community of Taizé

The Community of Taizé is the heart of our manufactory. The entire production process takes place in the workshop, where new glazes are also developed.

Without the Community, our ceramics would not exist. Every plate, every bowl, and every jug bears its signature — and with it, the spirit of Taizé.
