Making Clay Medallions in Taizé

In the workshop of the Taizé Community, small clay medallions are also made. After being shaped and carefully dried, the pieces are fired at high temperature in a special ceramic kiln.

The intense heat makes the clay permanently solid and durable.

The process requires patience, craftsmanship, and great care. Each medallion is individually worked on, giving it its own unique character.

The finished pieces can be passed on as small signs of faith, remembrance, and connection to Taizé.
